Orchestra Lifts

LIFT SYSTEMS

Versatile Use of Orchestra Lifts in Stage Design

Orchestra lifts are located at the front of the stage in front of the proscenium.

Used primarily to reconfigure the front of the stage: at stage level they are an extension of the stage, at house level they can be used for additional seating and at pit or play level they are used for the orchestra.

Orchestra lifts can also be used as freight lifts: the lift can be used to move equipment or scenery between stage level and basement or storage levels.

Programmable Precision & Repeatable Efficiency

Gala orchestra lifts are safe and efficient using proven Spiralift® technology.  A wide range of speeds and loading capacities are available.

Speed

Standard specifications are around 6 ft/min (2m/min) but this can be increased to accommodate higher travels.

Capacity

Standard live static loading is 150 lb/ft2 (750 kg/m2) and live lifting capacity is typically 50 lb/ft2 (250 kg/m2).
