Freight & Scenery Lifts: Heavy-Duty Vertical Transport
Freight and scenery lifts are as the name implies used to move freight or large scenic elements from a lower level scene shop or storage level.
If these lifts are within the stage area then they must meet the code live static load requirements of the stage which is 150 lb/ft2. Dynamic load capacities can be determined by types of loads anticipated for the application but are generally in the 50 to 100 lb/ft2 range.

Capacity
These truck or freight lift system will often utilize the ND18 Spiralift®, which is specifically engineered for exceptionally high live-load capacities required in heavy-duty truck or freight lift applications.
Its mechanically driven, column-based design distributes loads evenly across multiple lifting points, allowing it to safely raise and support extremely heavy vehicles with minimal deflection.
Unlike hydraulic systems, the ND18 Spiralift® maintains full lifting capacity throughout its entire travel range, providing consistent performance even at heights approaching 40 feet. This makes the ND18 Spiralift® an ideal solution for demanding industrial environments where reliability, precision, and the ability to handle continuous heavy loads are critical.
