Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre: Cleverly Expanded and Modernized for Now and the Future

Re-opened last September after extensive renovations during the pandemic, Hungexpo in Budapest has become the largest multifunctional convention venue in Central Eastern Europe, with 65,000 square meters of event space and a capacity of 15,000 people. It is proudly hosting this year’s International Association of Congress Centres’ (AIPC) Annual Conference in its modernized facilities.

As presented in the latest edition of the AIPC Communiqué. Hungexpo now includes a new congress venue developed as a multipurpose space. Equipped with a Gala Venue® Flooring and Seating System, it can be automatically transformed from a raked seating layout to a flat floor space in just 15 minutes, making it possible not only to achieve a range of business, academic, professional and cultural objectives, but also to maximize occupancy with quick turnaround times. This efficiency will definitively support the unpredictable demands of the MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conferencing, Exhibitions) industry both now and in the future.
