Pi\u00e8ce ma\u00eetresse de la deuxi\u00e8me phase d\u2019expansion du Dr. Phillips Center, l\u2019exceptionnelle Steinmetz Hall a ouvert ses portes il y a un peu plus de six mois. Con\u00e7u par Barton Myers Associates de Santa Barbara (architecte concepteur), HKS Architects de Dallas (architecte ex\u00e9cutif) et Baker Barrios Architects d\u2019Orlando (architecte), le complexe multiculturel Dr. Phillips constitue le principal lieu de diffusion artistique d\u2019Orlando.<\/br><\/br>\nIl comprend une salle amplifi\u00e9e de 2 700 places (Walt Disney Theater) destin\u00e9e aux productions de style Broadway, ainsi qu\u2019une salle de 300 places (Pugh Theater) pour les spectacles de plus petite envergure et les groupes artistiques communautaires. Le centre offre \u00e9galement une vaste place ext\u00e9rieure d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux arts, des salles de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition, des bureaux administratifs et des espaces d\u2019\u00e9ducation artistique.\nAlliant acoustique de pointe (classification sonore N1) et architecture flexible, la nouvelle Steinmetz Hall de 1 700 places constitue le compl\u00e9ment id\u00e9al au Dr. Phillips Center.<\/br><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une salle polyvalente unique en son genre<\/strong>

\u00c9quip\u00e9e d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de si\u00e8ges transformables Gala Venue\u00ae<\/em><\/strong>, la Steinmetz Hall fait partie des tr\u00e8s rares salles au monde capables de se transformer automatiquement, tant dans leur configuration spatiale<\/strong> que dans leur capacit\u00e9 d\u2019accueil<\/strong>. Cette polyvalence est particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9cieuse puisque la salle est d\u00e9sormais le nouveau foyer de l\u2019Orlando Ballet<\/strong>, de l\u2019Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra<\/strong> et d\u2019Opera Orlando<\/strong>.\nCon\u00e7ue par le consultant Theatre Projects<\/em><\/strong> et r\u00e9alis\u00e9e avec l\u2019appui du gestionnaire de projet Whiting-Turner Construction Company<\/em><\/strong>, elle peut \u00eatre reconfigur\u00e9e \u00e0 la demande, passant d\u2019une salle de concert de type \u201cshoe-box\u201d<\/strong> \u00e0 une salle d\u2019op\u00e9ra inspir\u00e9e des grands th\u00e9\u00e2tres europ\u00e9ens<\/strong>. La salle convient tout autant aux arts de la sc\u00e8ne amplifi\u00e9s \u2014 concerts rock, spectacles musicaux \u2014 qu\u2019aux productions d\u2019op\u00e9ra, aux concerts symphoniques et aux repr\u00e9sentations de ballet, tout en pouvant accueillir ais\u00e9ment des \u00e9v\u00e9nements sur plancher plat<\/strong>.

\nLes enjeux d\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 comprenaient notamment l\u2019int\u00e9gration de huit emplacements pour fauteuils roulants et si\u00e8ges accompagnateurs<\/strong>.
